Policies
- Schedule
Green City Movers Inc. reserve the right to reschedule the move at an agreed upon time, without liability, if there is inclement weather, including, but not limited to, rain, snow, and ice. If the move requires significantly more work to be done than originally described by the client, Green City Movers Inc. reserves the right to fulfill other obligations before completing additional work.
- Estimate
Green City Movers Inc. estimate is generated using the information provided by the client via the Estimate Form on our website, over email and/or phone correspondence. Our estimates are not flat rate or “do not exceed” amounts. Although the majority of our estimates are within the calculated timeframe, in some cases a move may take much longer. That’s when a move is affected by factors outside of our control. For instance, your level of preparation and packing before our arrival or lack thereof can significantly affect our estimate. The amount of furniture and boxes that we are to move exceeds the amount provided to us in time of the estimate can also have a significant impact. Client’s inability to reserve a parking spot and/or elevator is yet another important factor that will affect the estimated time and price.
- Payment
Customers must pay the balance in full at the completion of the move. The customer or his representative must be present during the move and final “walk- through”. Be advised, our time runs continuously until payment is completed. Green City Movers Inc. accepts all major forms of credit cards and cash only. We do not accept any form of check, including cashiers and certified checks.
- Parking
The client is responsible for obtaining safe and legal parking for the moving truck and movers. Any fines incurred during your move due to a lack of reserved or available parking will be added to the bill.
Green City Movers will not take a truck off pavement. If the move requires us to take the truck off pavement we do not cover septic tanks, power lines, or landscape. It is assumed all driveways are structurally sound and should hold the weight of Green City Movers trucks. In rare occasions the weight of our trucks could crack a driveway. If you do not feel your driveway will hold the weight of our trucks, please let us know in an email to infogreencitymovers@gmail.com prior to the move. Green City Movers cannot and will not take responsibility for unstable parking surfaces. Any time spent positioning the truck(s) or time lost due to truck(s) getting stuck will be at customer’s expense. At finish of the job, the clock does not stop until our truck(s) are back on the municipal street. It is also assumed that all power and cable lines should be high enough for our truck to access.
- Inventory
Taking inventory of all items to be moved is time consuming and costly. We will take inventory upon client’s request. However, because we do not typically take inventory, it is the client’s responsibility to make sure no items are left behind, forgotten, misplaced, or lost during the course of the move.

For safety precautions, kids and pets must be out of the work area throughout the entire move.
