NYC nightlife – Best nightclubs

The first days after moving to NYC will be hard and you will need to find a way to relax. You can find many flashy nightclubs in the Meatpacking District and Williamsburg.

In these clubs, DJs can spin until 6 am. New Yorkers that are looking to let off a little steam, nothing does the job better than the night of dancing.

New York’s club scene has come a long way – from the early days of Danceteria to the growing popularity of after-hours parties in Bushwick, Brooklyn.

You have so many choices of late-night places to dance in NYC. New York City has plenty of bars and clubs where you can boogie, twerk, shake or shimmy your winter blues away.

However,  it can quickly become overwhelming to pick out the best of the best. Luckily for you, we’ve spared you the pressure of having to do so. We guarantee you’ll get nothing less than a quality NYC nightlife and have a lot of fun.

Output

This is one of the few nightclubs in Brooklyn. That holds its own against Manhattan’s heavy hitters. Output is located in a converted warehouse and it hosts big-name DJs. A lot of its patrons wear flannel. This club has a Funktion One, which is one of the best sound systems in the city. It is making it powerful against the big guys in more ways than one.

Here, you’ll find more plaid-clad hipsters than models. But that doesn’t mean you won’t have to wait if you show up late on the door. Once you get inside, you will see that the main room bumps with high-quality electronic music.

And the adjoining Panther Room offers a more intimate listening experience. Also, there is a rooftop that gives you a place to cool down before heading back in for more.

Cielo

Cielo is located in the Meatpacking District. This nightclub also earns raves from audiophiles for its Funktion One sound system. It’s a small size club, but a quite welcoming crowd makes it feel like a really great house party.

People here are dancing like nobody’s watching. For those times when you just can’t wait for the weekend, reserve a Thursday night for Cielo. Here, you will get a good old dose of crushing sound and high-energy beats. It is brought to you by the same owners as Output club.

As we have already mentioned, this small club boasts a massively powerful sound system. The techno-house DJs know exactly how to put this sound system to good use.

What is the only disadvantage of this club? There’s a chance you may find yourself in a crowd with a few tourists who’ve read about club on lists like this one.

But, you’ll quickly forget they’re there once the bass drops. Cielo’s motto is “Where house music lives”. However, you can also hear trance and EDM there. A regular DJ is Franàçois K.

Le Bain

Bossa Nova Civic Club

“Tropical fantasy dance club”. It represents another staple in the thriving Bushwick scene. This club it is setting itself apart from its competitors with a legitimate sound system.

It consistently has hot lineups of underground house and techno DJs that are manning the decks. Bossa Nova Civic Club opened its doors for the first time in December of 2012. But, it’s already made a big name for itself in the community.

The club has its own stage at Sustain-Release that is going into its second edition this September, and it’s hosting numerous industry big-names.

A list of DJs in Bossa includes the next names: Heather Heart, Adam X, Ron Morelli, Henning Baer, Marcos Cabral, Reade Truth, Jamie xx, and Mike Simonetti. NYC nightlife is amazing and you just have to hit its best nightclubs.
